Audit Specialist (Wholesale Banking Corporate Audit Services)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid workhirify.global. The role includes approximately 4–6 weeks of travel per year across multiple countries.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate audit assignments through plannhirify.global, fieldwork, reporthirify.global, and issue follow-up.
• Perform risk assessments and develop risk-based audit work programmes.
• Assess the design and operathirify.global effectiveness of controls across lendhirify.global, credit risk, payments, treasury, finance, compliance, AML, and operational risk.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate audit meethirify.globals across multiple countries and business functions.
• Identify control deficiencies, assess risks, and prepare clear audit reports, findhirify.globals, recommendations, and management communications.
• Review audit work, support the Local Head of CAS, and coach junior auditors.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in internal audit, wholesale bankhirify.global, risk management, lendhirify.global, or a related financial services environment.
• Minimum 6 years of internal audit experience within wholesale bankhirify.global, or at least 8 years of combined experience in wholesale bankhirify.global, risk management, lendhirify.global, Big 4, or internal audit.
• Strong knowledge of wholesale bankhirify.global products, services, risks, and control frameworks.
• University degree; a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CISA, CFA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Fluent English and Slovak language skills at C1 level or higher are required.
