TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam (1-2 days office attendance required)

What you will do

  • Design and execute the operational risk control testing cycle, including documenting findings and managing remediation.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of local standards and draft amendments to align with regulations and ABN AMRO policies.
  • Coordinate and maintain the SIRA, facilitating risk identification workshops and challenging risk scoring.
  • Lead Change Risk Assessments (CRA) for new products, processes, and vendors to mitigate risks before launch.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly risk reporting for ABN AMRO.
  • Perform deep-dive risk analyses to surface vulnerabilities and strengthen risk ownership across the company.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in risk management, risk and control, or a comparable 1st/2nd line role.
  • Hands-on experience with control testing, policy reviews, and SIRA/CRA.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations such as AFM/DNB expectations, MiFID II, and Wft.
  • Data-driven, pragmatic mindset with comfort using data, AI, and automation.
  • Must be based in or able to work from Amsterdam for a hybrid setup.
