What you will do

• Design and implement innovative strategies for query execution, planning, and caching at massive scale.
• Build and maintain multi-tenant, highly available infrastructure powering computational tasks for Lightning tables and the realtime context engine.
• Optimize platform scalability, reliability, and resilience in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with product management and design teams to ensure seamless integration of storage features and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Expertise in C++ and/or Rust.
• 3-5 years of professional experience building database technologies.
• Proven track record in building and operating large-scale database systems.
• Deep domain experience in Distributed Systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to open-source technologies: Apache Iceberg, Velox, or Substrait.
• Knowledge of public clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Master's degree with a specialization in Database Technologies.
