What you will do

• Cover the European leveraged finance market, focusing on M&A, deal origination, new debt issuance, and stressed credits.
• Build and maintain a network of sources including syndication desks, buyside investors, traders, and legal counsel.
• Write breaking news, market round-ups, and analytical features on deals, issuers, and structural trends.
• Track and analyze pricing and market conditions across European high yield and leveraged loan markets.
• Collaborate with distressed and private credit desks to provide leveraged finance context for migrating issuers.
• Contribute to multi-channel content output, including newsletters, podcasts, and platform-based products.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in leveraged finance, loan/bond markets, or financial journalism covering credit, M&A, or private equity.
• Proven experience building source networks in European private financial markets.
• Solid understanding of leveraged loan and high yield bond structures, pricing dynamics, and documentation.
• Ability to produce clean, market-ready copy quickly under tight deadline pressure.
• Must be based in London and available to work on a hybrid basis from the office.
