Software Engineer (AI-First)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work with at least 2 days per week in the Parque das Nações office

What you will do

• Own features end to end, using AI throughout the development lifecycle from specification to pull request.
• Review, validate, and refactor AI-generated code to production standards while identifying hallucinations and architectural flaws.
• Develop prompts, agentic workflows, and reusable AI-first engineering patterns.
• Mentor junior engineers in AI-first development practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, DevOps, and QA to deliver software.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional experience delivering production software and owning features with limited supervision.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Regular hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with depth in backend or frontend development and the ability to work across the stack.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, or agentic workflows.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring engineers or leading discrete pieces of work.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval-augmented generation patterns.
• Experience with enterprise software or B2B SaaS.
