What you will do

• Build high-quality, efficient, and scalable rigs for characters, creatures, and hard-surface props.
• Develop and maintain rigging tools and scripts to automate and optimize rigging within the production pipeline.
• Collaborate with Modeling and Animation to ensure clean topology and deformation that meets animation needs.
• Perform skinning and weight-painting to deliver fluid, natural movement.
• Troubleshoot rigging and deformation issues during production and provide quick, effective fixes.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation according to studio pipeline standards.

Requirements

• Location/remote: 100% remote within the UK
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Rigger in a VFX, feature film, or high-end episodic production environment.
• Expert proficiency in Maya and deep understanding of rigging toolsets.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, skinning techniques, and cloth/muscle simulation integration.
• Proficient scripting for pipeline automation and tool development (Python essential; MEL a plus).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team.
