What you will do

• Lead and manage a statutory Children in Care social work team.
• Ensure delivery of services in line with legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice.
• Provide high-quality supervision, appraisal, and professional development for social workers.
• Promote systemic, relationship-based, face-to-face practice and ensure robust recording, care planning, and permanence planning.
• Chair and attend multi-disciplinary meetings and reviews, evidencing the voice of the child.
• Manage performance, workloads, and delegated budgets; collaborate with internal and external partner agencies and escalate risks as needed.

Requirements

• Location: attend the office three days per week.
• Recognised Social Work qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Experience managing statutory children’s social care teams.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead, supervise, and motivate staff within a systemic model of practice.
