What you will do

• Lead mechanical architecture and analysis, parts design, documentation, and functional validation across multiple concurrent programs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mechanical engineers, setting standards for design quality and engineering best practices.
• Drive mechanical design strategy with ID, Product, and Program Management from concept through launch.
• Own system integration of mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies and align cross-functional teams.
• Manage supplier/partner and internal interfaces (EE, manufacturing/operations, quality) and lead feasibility studies and design reviews.
• Champion DFM/manufacturing readiness and oversee mechanical reliability testing programs through EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP milestones.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in consumer electronics (or similar electro-mechanical products), including shipping high-volume products from concept to mass production.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills to influence technical decisions at a senior level.
• Location: hybrid schedule from either North Olmsted, OH or San Francisco, CA (Mondays and Fridays are remote).

Salary: $135,000 - 212,500 USD base range in California
