Salary: $140,000–$150,000

What you will do

• Lead board bring-up activities including bootloader configuration and peripheral verification.
• Design and implement firmware in C/C++ for bare-metal and embedded Linux systems.
• Develop and optimize device drivers for sensors, radios, and communication interfaces.
• Perform performance tuning for CPU, memory, and power consumption constraints.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on schematic reviews and PCB layout compatibility.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical documentation and build pipelines.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience developing embedded firmware for production hardware.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ with focus on memory management and real-time constraints.
• Hands-on experience with bare-metal development and RTOS or embedded Linux (e.g., Yocto).
• Experience with board bring-up and debugging tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and understand hardware constraints.
• Experience working in an agile/Scrum environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with secure boot, cryptographic libraries, and OTA update mechanisms.
• Background in low-power device development and energy profiling.
• Familiarity with wireless communication stacks like Wi-Fi, BLE, or LTE.
• Exposure to Python for test automation and build orchestration.
• Experience with embedded audio/video capture and encoding (H.264/H.265).
