What you will do

• Design and evaluate electrical systems relevant to corporate decarbonization, including grid integration and power electronics.
• Develop and maintain transmission planning, system reliability, and integrated system planning studies.
• Conduct technical due diligence on electrical infrastructure, energy storage, and industrial electrification projects.
• Translate complex engineering models into clear recommendations for external clients and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, economists, and policy experts to support client deliverables.
• Contribute to technical reports and thought leadership regarding electrification and grid decarbonization.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Significant experience in the electric power industry, preferably in consulting or advisory roles.
• Proficiency in transmission models (N-1 reliability, SCUC, SCED) and industry tools like PSS/E, PowerWorld, or PSCAD.
• Deep familiarity with wholesale electricity markets, ISOs/RTOs, and capacity markets in North America and the EU.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex analytics to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis using Python, R, or MATLAB.
• Experience modeling energy storage systems, DERs, or industrial decarbonization technologies.
• Professional licensure (PE) or advanced credentials in relevant electrical engineering domains.
• Familiarity with FERC regulatory proceedings and GHG accounting frameworks.
