What you will do

• Build agentic applications, features, and workflows that integrate Perplexity into daily user routines.
• Lead the development of vertical-specific AI experiences like Personal CFO and Email Assistant tools.
• Own the data backbone, infrastructure, and connectors to ensure 99.9% reliability for agentic data pipelines.
• Drive end-to-end projects across the full stack, running parallel experiments to optimize adoption and retention.
• Set technical direction and mentor engineers while partnering with AI, Design, and Data Science teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping complex products.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in owning large, ambiguous projects from conception to outcome.
• Strong product judgment with the ability to translate user behavior into effective technical solutions.
• Proven ability to ship multiple products and experiments in parallel with measurable results.
• Genuine interest in AI products and a high-ownership mindset.

Nice to have

• Domain expertise in finance, healthcare, legal, or operations.
• Experience building agentic product surfaces.
• Previous experience at a fast-growing startup or high-ownership engineering team.
