What you will do

• Design and operate the knowledge graph and ontology to capture complex grocery data relationships.
• Build retrieval systems (vector, graph, and structured) to provide reliable context for LLMs.
• Develop LLM-powered agent infrastructure for multi-step reasoning and tool-use.
• Create evaluation harnesses, tracing, and observability tools to measure model performance and reliability.
• Build data pipelines and experimentation workflows using Databricks and MLflow.
• Partner with field engineers to harden prototypes into reusable production capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software, data, or ML systems.
• Strong systems and API design skills using Python.
• Hands-on production experience with LLM systems, including RAG, agents, and evaluation.
• Solid foundation in data engineering and modern cloud data stacks (Databricks, Spark, MLflow).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no company sponsorship provided).
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build for leverage and clean interfaces.

Nice to have

• Experience with knowledge graphs, ontologies, or semantic layers.
• Familiarity with vector stores (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate) and hybrid search.
• Experience with agent frameworks like LangGraph or context protocols.
• Background in grocery, retail, or complex enterprise data domains.
