What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of a scalable, secure data platform for batch and real-time processing of investment data.
• Architect infrastructure to support high-concurrency client-facing digital tools and low-latency internal analytics.
• Implement robust data patterns and optimized compute layers to enable efficient ad hoc querying by investment professionals.
• Manage and mentor a team of high-performing investment engineers, participating in system design and critical code reviews.
• Establish comprehensive data quality frameworks, lineage tracking, and security controls.
• Collaborate with product managers and technology executives to define data contracts, SLAs, and infrastructure roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with a track record of architecting enterprise data platforms.
• Deep expertise in production Python, advanced SQL tuning, Airflow, and dbt.
• Strong experience designing robust APIs and streaming architectures using Kafka.
• Master-level understanding of data warehousing, semantic layer design, and financial market modeling.
• 3+ years of direct engineering management experience, including recruiting and balancing technical debt with delivery.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with institutional investment datasets from vendors such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or MSCI.
