Senior Lead Developer (.NET)

Senior Lead Developer (.NET): Leading software development for Federal application services with an accent on cloud migration, secure enterprise architectures, and application modernization. Focus on designing scalable .NET solutions, mentoring development teams, and implementing DevSecOps pipelines within a secure government environment.

Location: Hybrid/On-site in Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a Tier 2 Public Trust background investigation.

Salary: $130,000 – $240,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead Agile software development teams through all phases of the SDLC for enterprise applications.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and integrations using .NET and Azure.
• Build and enhance Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and SharePoint Online solutions.
• Mentor developers and establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and QA processes.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of enterprise software development experience.
• Minimum 5 years supporting Federal Government IT systems.
• Minimum 3 years in a Lead Developer or Technical Lead role.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading technical teams.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certifications: Azure Developer/Administrator Associate or Power Platform Developer Associate.
• Scrum certifications: CSD, CSM, or SAFe Practitioner.
• Security+ certification.
