What you will do

• Modernize legacy .NET and SQL Server stacks into scalable, event-driven microservices and clean APIs.
• Utilize AI agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate framework upgrades, refactoring, and test coverage.
• Design and implement versioned RESTful APIs focused on correctness and maintainability.
• Optimize SQL Server query performance, indexing, and transactional correctness for data-heavy applications.
• Develop modular Angular frontends, including the implementation of microfrontend strategies.
• Establish AI-friendly engineering playbooks, prompt templates, and CI guardrails for the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production systems with real users.
• Proficiency in C# and modern .NET (Core+) with a track record of meaningful refactoring in large codebases.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including schema design and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure (highly relevant) or AWS.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required; sponsorship is not available.
• Daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) for multi-file refactors and migrations.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing legacy ASP.NET / .NET Framework applications.
• Experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, or Postgres.
• Knowledge of React or Next.js.
• Background in regulated domains such as healthcare, fintech, or payments.
