What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and maintain dbt models within the Snowflake data warehouse following established coding standards.
• Execute database restructuring initiatives to improve data governance and role-based access control.
• Implement and maintain data quality tests and documentation within dbt to ensure model reliability.
• Collaborate with Analytics and Data Engineering teams to translate business requirements into performant transformation logic.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including Git version control, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for data models and workflows in assigned business domains.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI with hands-on dbt experience.
• Strong SQL proficiency, particularly with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Production-level experience with dbt, including model building, testing, and documentation.
• Working knowledge of Git and version control workflows (branching, pull requests).
• Familiarity with dimensional data modeling concepts and schema design best practices.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Boston, MA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake-specific advanced features.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Sigma.
• Knowledge of Python for data transformation or automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI, GitHub Actions, dbt Cloud).
• Prior exposure to SaaS business models or consumer health and fitness data.
