What you will do

• Design human-AI interaction experiences for AI agents across web and mobile platforms.
• Own end-to-end intent architecture, including taxonomy, routing, and gap analysis.
• Write and optimize system prompts and UX copy to support users in moments of distress.
• Partner with Clinical and Product teams to ensure AI interactions drive clinically valid behavior change.
• Define conversational parameters and graceful error handling for hallucinations or ambiguous intent.
• Prototype chat interfaces and integrate reusable AI interaction patterns into the core design system.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, with 1-2 years focused on AI-driven products, LLMs, or conversational agents.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex human-AI interaction design and underlying logic.
• Deep understanding of LLM capabilities and constraints, such as context windows and streaming.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and testing methodologies.
• Must be based in the NYC metro area or able to relocate independently.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and executive presence for leadership presentations.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI patterns into Figma.
• Experience with AI UX evaluation methods in spec-driven agentic workflows.
• Experience in the benefits or mental health space.
