Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA)

Salary: $158K – $185K + Equity

What you will do

  • Lead and continuously improve all stages of the employee lifecycle, including pre-boarding, onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
  • Design, document, and scale people operations processes and best practices.
  • Implement automation efforts using WRITER's AI platform to streamline people tools and create efficient workflows.
  • Administer and optimize HRIS and people tooling, building operational dashboards for key people metrics.
  • Manage compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and lead internal audits.
  • Partner with legal counsel to manage visa processing and global mobility cases.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in human resources or people operations, ideally at a high-growth technology company.
  • Proven ability to design and implement operational processes from scratch.
  • Strong project management skills and a systems-thinking mindset for building at scale.
  • Experience with people analytics and hands-on experience with HRIS platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and HR compliance.
  • Must be based in San Francisco, CA to support a hybrid work model.

Nice to have

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification.
  • Track record of using AI and automation tools to improve people ops efficiency.
  • Experience building databases or improving HR operational infrastructure.
