What you will do

• Build and maintain a high-performance, fault-tolerant production network at scale.
• Develop and support IP and Optical technologies connecting data centers and edge connectivity.
• Drive capacity planning, forecasting, and growth strategies for the production backbone.
• Evaluate and integrate new hardware and software platforms for scale, security, and maintainability.
• Represent the network team as a technical leader, providing direction for projects and problem management.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building large-scale backbone and complex data center network infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge of IP networking protocols including MP-BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRF, VxLAN, EVPN, QoS, GRE, and IP SEC.
• Expertise in optical/DWDM, CDN, edge network security, DDoS mitigation, and load balancing.
• Experience building solutions in cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or OCI.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code using Python, Ansible, YAML, Netconf/YANG, Chef, or Puppet.
• Proficiency with networking vendors such as Arista, Palo Alto, Juniper, Adva, Nokia, Cisco, or HP.

Nice to have

• Work experience in data center, telecom, SaaS, or cloud operations companies.
• Experience supporting optical infrastructure from vendors like Infinera, Ciena, or Nokia.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate technical details in business terminology.
