TL;DR

Director (M&A Advisory): Leading complex merger, acquisition, divestiture, and transformation engagements to maximize deal value and achieve successful business outcomes with an accent on cross-functional integration and separation initiatives. Focus on navigating ambiguity, solving complex business challenges, and leading multidisciplinary teams through the entire transaction lifecycle.

Location: Must be based in or near Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Houston, New York, South Florida, Southern California, or Washington, D.C.

Salary: $156,000 – $256,000

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of M&A integration, separation, and carve-out engagements.
  • Advise executive leadership on operating models, organizational design, and technology optimization.
  • Direct multiple workstreams across finance, HR, IT, operations, and supply chain.
  • Develop and oversee integration strategies, including Day 1 readiness and synergy realization.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify risks and opportunities for value creation.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, and staffing while building trusted client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of experience in management consulting, transaction advisory, or corporate development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading M&A integration, separation, or divestiture programs.
  • Strong understanding of transaction lifecycle activities, including diligence and TSA management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and executive stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and executive facilitation skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience advising private equity clients or Fortune 1000 organizations.
  • Background in finance transformation, operational excellence, or supply chain optimization.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CPA, CFA, or Lean Six Sigma.
