What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery for major Storefront initiatives (discovery, browse, PDP, cart, checkout, and post-purchase) from architecture through production.
• Partner with product, design, and data science to translate business goals into scalable, well-scoped engineering plans.
• Drive technical standards across the Storefront codebase, including performance, observability, testing, and maintainability.
• Proactively identify and resolve systemic engineering gaps such as performance bottlenecks, reliability risks, and scaling constraints.
• Mentor and grow senior engineers through design reviews, code review, pairing, and direct coaching.
• Define and drive adoption of best practices across frontend architecture, API design, and experimentation frameworks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-stack web development experience building high-traffic, customer-facing commerce/consumer web surfaces.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React; experience with server-side rendering frameworks (Next.js or equivalent) is required.
• Experience building and maintaining highly reliable distributed web applications operating at scale.
• Proven ability to drive large technical initiatives end-to-end (scoping, sequencing, stakeholder alignment, and delivering impact across quarters).
• Track record of raising engineering quality through standards, tooling, documentation, and/or mentorship.
• Experience with A/B testing frameworks and data-driven experimentation; strong focus on code quality, latency, and observability.
