What you will do

• Lead and develop DevOps, Platform, and IT teams through hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Assess and remediate legacy infrastructure while ensuring stability for live state and federal clients.
• Design the operational support model, including tooling and processes, for the new modern platform.
• Manage the full lifecycle of vendor and tooling contracts, including cost modeling and contract negotiations.
• Partner with Sales and Product leadership to provide accurate cost inputs for pricing and deal structuring.
• Establish and report on key operational metrics such as uptime, MTTR, and infrastructure cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or IT leadership.
• 3+ years of direct experience managing technical teams.
• Proven experience modernizing legacy infrastructure in live production environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), CI/CD, and observability tools.
• Experience in vendor contract management and building cost models for SaaS or services environments.
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated, public-sector-adjacent, or healthcare/health-data environments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence non-technical stakeholders in Sales and Finance.
