Senior Software Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Must be based in New York, NY (in-person collaboration 4 days per week)

Salary: $175,000 – $220,000 + equity

What you will do

• Design and evolve a serverless-first AWS platform using Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, AppSync, and Aurora.
• Own AWS multi-account architecture, including account hierarchy, Service Control Policies, and IAM Identity Center.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer platform tools to ensure compliant-by-default deployments.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation-first security hardening to ensure system health.
• Improve engineering operations and infrastructure standards to unblock technical challenges across teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience with public cloud infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in AWS, specifically serverless architectures (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge) and EKS.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AWS Organizations, multi-account governance, and IAM Identity Center.
• Must be based in New York, NY for in-person collaboration 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or LLM-powered systems.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Argo, or Semaphore.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and data ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
