What you will do

• Lead and mentor junior engineers by reviewing code and data model decisions across a delivery workstream.
• Build secure, reliable ingestion pipelines that move client data from source systems into the platform.
• Design audit-ready data models (Data Vault 2.0, Kimball dimensional modeling) to deliver a trusted version of the numbers.
• Own production pipeline reliability by building to agreed SLAs and maintaining production performance.
• Translate business logic from domain SMEs into pipeline logic to produce correct outputs.
• Integrate LLM-based processing where it fits (parsing, entity extraction, unstructured data classification) and support AI-powered business solutions on the platform.

Requirements

• 4+ years in data engineering, including at least 2 years delivering Databricks or Snowflake pipelines in production (one platform is sufficient).
• Strong SQL and Python; comfort with PySpark or Snowpark.
• Experience with at least one cloud vendor (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including core services such as networking, IAM, and storage.
• Working knowledge of dimensional modeling (Kimball) and/or Data Vault 2.0.
• Ability to present technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort leading or mentoring junior engineers and taking ownership of technical decisions.
