Senior Python Automation Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop the full lifecycle of automation solutions from intake through deployment and documentation.
• Direct the creation of Python-based and Agentic AI tools for combining data sources and producing reports.
• Maintain 500+ existing automation processes to ensure consistent and accurate operating rhythm.
• Lead and coordinate meetings with business collaborators to identify automation opportunities and governance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in Python, automation frameworks, and problem-solving.
• Research and incorporate new Python libraries and AI tools to improve automation capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in Python Development.
• Must be authorized to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship available.
• High-level proficiency in Python and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with R, SQL, Java, C++, C#, or HTML.
• Knowledge of Selenium, Power Automate, CoPilot, or Snowflake.
• Experience with PowerBI, Anaplan, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
