SMT Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Must be based in Los Angeles, CA (Onsite role)

Compensation: $24 – $35 per hour + equity

What you will do

• Operate and maintain SMT assembly equipment including placement machines, reflow ovens, and solder printers.
• Program, load, and troubleshoot automated production equipment.
• Follow detailed assembly procedures and document work within the MES system.
• Inspect electronic assemblies for defects and document non-conformances.
• Perform functional testing of components and assemblies.
• Provide consistent process improvement feedback to engineering and production leadership.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual) due to ITAR regulations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and follow complex work instructions.
• Experience with crimping, wire stripping, and continuity testing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Hand soldering ability and PCB rework experience.
• Ability to read and redline electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience using test tools like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with potting and epoxies.
