TL;DR
Senior Solutions Architect (Commercial): Support the Commercial Sales team across the full sales cycle by running technical evaluations, building tailored demos/proof-of-concepts, and enabling customer engineering teams to expand production usage of Temporal with an accent on distributed systems reliability/observability and hands-on validation of value in AI/agentic and LLM orchestration workflows. Focus on qualifying opportunities, translating complex concepts for senior technical audiences, and creating reusable technical assets that accelerate deals in a consumption-based model.

What you will do
- Partner with Account Executives to qualify new opportunities, run technical evaluations, and expand production usage with existing customers.
- Lead technical conversations with developers, architects, and engineering leaders to understand systems, constraints, and business objectives.
- Build tailored demos and proof-of-concepts, including orchestration of AI and agentic workloads.
- Deliver enablement sessions so customer engineering teams adopt Temporal effectively.
- Create reusable technical assets to accelerate deals and scale impact across the team.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Developer Success to surface field insights that influence the roadmap.
Requirements
- Time zone: must reside in the Central or Eastern time zone.
- Hands-on coding experience in at least one modern language: Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, including reliability, observability, and fault tolerance.
- Proven experience in pre-sales, customer-facing engineering, or solutions architecture with technical buyers.
- Strong technical communication skills to lead discussions with senior engineers and explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple prospects/customers simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment.

Hiring process

- Compensation is determined based on multiple factors including market location and interview outcomes.
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 OTE (70/30 base/variable split)
