Director, Solutions Architecture (Enterprise & Strategic): Leading the Enterprise and Strategic Solutions Architecture team across AMER to drive technical win strategies for high-value accounts with an accent on distributed systems and OLAP databases. Focus on scaling the SA organization, designing reference architectures, and serving as an executive technical sponsor for C-level stakeholders.

Location: San Francisco or New York. Remote-friendly environment with a focus on the AMER region.

Salary: $320,000 – $380,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and scale the Enterprise & Strategic Solutions Architecture team across AMER, including hiring and coaching.
• Own the technical win strategy for high-stakes evaluations and executive relationships.
• Partner with Sales leadership to develop territory and account plans.
• Define methodologies for technical discovery, proof of concept execution, and architecture design.
• Translate enterprise deal patterns into structured input for the product roadmap, packaging, and pricing.
• Develop scalable enablement tools, including playbooks, reference architectures, and demo environments.

Requirements

• Experience leading SA or pre-sales teams at an infrastructure, database, or analytics company.
• Hands-on background as a Solutions Architect with deep technical credibility in high-stakes sales cycles.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, SQL/OLAP databases, and the modern data stack.
• Proven track record of hiring, developing talent, and scaling technical teams.
• Ability to operate as an executive technical sponsor for C-level stakeholders at large enterprises.
• Willingness to travel across AMER for customer visits and team support.

Nice to have

• Direct experience deploying or architecting ClickHouse in production.
• Experience with real-time analytics, observability, or large-scale event/log data.
• Experience scaling field engineering in hypergrowth startups.
