What you will do

• Act as the primary link between data infrastructure, architecture, and development teams.
• Select the optimal technology for application data persistence and define operational procedures.
• Create database automations and tools to ensure efficient and maintainable data solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues to ensure minimal production impact.
• Optimize application data access and detect bottlenecks in data consumption.
• Support developers on database security, automation, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working in critical database environments.
• Solid professional experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Cloud-based solutions, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with orchestrators (Kubernetes) and automation tools (Ansible, Python).
• Exposure to CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Barcelona, Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience with other database technologies like Oracle or MySQL.
• Proficiency with AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT.
• Curiosity and eagerness to integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into software workflows.
