Location: Remote (Global). The role is open to candidates based in the listed regions (Latam/Europe) and beyond.

What you will do
- Own maintenance, patching, and upgrades across the database fleet.
- Lead performance tuning, indexing strategy, and query optimization for mission-critical systems.
- Design and own backup/recovery strategies, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
- Automate database provisioning and maintenance using Terraform.
- Plan and execute complex data migration and conversion routines for production systems.
- Build dashboards and alerts to monitor database health and performance.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator in production environments.
- Deep PostgreSQL expertise including performance tuning and replication.
- Solid experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3).
- Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Python proficiency for automation and scripting.
- Advanced English proficiency required.
Nice to have
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis.
- Fluency in observability tools like Datadog.
- Exposure to AI/MLOps data infrastructure.
- Experience in the payments industry.
- Spanish proficiency.
