Senior Database Administrator (PostgreSQL)

Location: Remote (Global). The role is open to candidates based in the listed regions (Latam/Europe) and beyond.

What you will do

• Own maintenance, patching, and upgrades across the database fleet.
• Lead performance tuning, indexing strategy, and query optimization for mission-critical systems.
• Design and own backup/recovery strategies, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
• Automate database provisioning and maintenance using Terraform.
• Plan and execute complex data migration and conversion routines for production systems.
• Build dashboards and alerts to monitor database health and performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator in production environments.
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise including performance tuning and replication.
• Solid experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3).
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Python proficiency for automation and scripting.
• Advanced English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis.
• Fluency in observability tools like Datadog.
• Exposure to AI/MLOps data infrastructure.
• Experience in the payments industry.
• Spanish proficiency.
