Legal Director, Regulatory Counsel (Semiconductors) (Regulatory Intelligence/Compliance): Monitoring and interpreting evolving regulatory requirements affecting semiconductor business across Europe/EMEA, with an accent on regulatory intelligence, compliance risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement. Focus on owning regulatory monitoring tools, translating complex obligations into actionable guidance, and coordinating engagement with regulators and external counsel.

What you will do
- Monitor new and revised regulations, lead regulatory intake, and maintain regulatory records.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and advise on applicability, risk exposure, legal consequences, and compliance actions.
- Partner with Government Affairs, subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and external parties to identify regulatory changes and support strategic responses.
- Own the regulatory monitoring tool and strengthen the technical capability for tracking relevant regulatory developments.
- Coordinate awareness initiatives, risk impact assessments, compliance gap analyses, progress tracking, and escalation of issues.
- Act as the key legal contact for regulators and external counsel in EMEA.
Requirements
- Law degree (LLM) in an EMEA jurisdiction.
- Approximately 15+ years of relevant regulatory or compliance advisory experience, ideally in a multinational, technology, or semiconductor environment.
- Ability to monitor and interpret complex, evolving regulations and turn them into clear, pragmatic guidance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed international organization.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with regulatory intelligence or regulatory change management programs and tools.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and ICT regulation, product compliance, origin-related requirements, and technology governance.
- Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and influencing without formal authority.
