What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS, data licensing, MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs.
- Serve as the primary legal point of contact for Sales and Business Development teams.
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and fallback positions.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, risk allocation, and data privacy obligations like GDPR and CCPA.
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle using CLM tools.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on specialized matters, IP, and regulatory inquiries.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to at least one U.S. state bar required.
- 4–7 years of relevant legal experience in commercial or technology transactions.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex technology contracts (SaaS, API, platform agreements).
- Solid understanding of data privacy law and its intersection with commercial agreements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in adtech, martech, or digital media.
- Familiarity with programmatic advertising, RTB, or CTV platforms.
- Exposure to IP licensing, open-source compliance, or AI/ML data use agreements.
- Experience supporting enterprise SaaS sales cycles.
