What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable data products supporting operational and financial processes.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using a modern cloud stack including Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Design and maintain lightweight internal applications (e.g., using Streamlit) to enhance user workflows.
• Translate operational challenges into data-driven solutions to reduce friction and manual work.
• Support, monitor, and troubleshoot business-critical data flows to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with business, application, and platform teams to improve engineering standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, and Kafka.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, governance, and data quality.
• Familiarity with engineering best practices including CI/CD, version control, and testing.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the Rotterdam office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Affinity with finance, back-office processes, or the energy sector.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools like Claude or Cursor.
