Data Engineer Consultant (AI)

What you will do

• Design and operate cloud architectures across GCP, AWS, and Azure, including storage, compute, cost optimisation, role management, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Containerise and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including clusters adapted to Data Science workloads.
• Develop Python server-side tools for bulk data processing, REST APIs, authentication, and related services.
• Manage CI/CD integration and deployment for applications, internal platforms, and client Data Science projects.
• Build ETL data pipelines in Big Data environments and implement infrastructure and services for machine learning.
• Work across client projects and internal AI solutions with the French Data Engineering team.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with a strong quantitative component, such as econometrics, physics, mathematics, statistics, or quantitative finance.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering.
• Good Python skills, knowledge of another programming language, and familiarity with an SQL DBMS; PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Experience or willingness to learn cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD automation, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with application security, including certificate management, HTTPS, OAuth2 authentication, and credential management.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Dutch are required; non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database.
• Experience combining multiple services within a cloud project.
• Familiarity with GitLab CE and Terraform.
