Data Engineer Consultant (AI)

TL;DR

Data Engineer Consultant (Python/Cloud): Developing and optimizing data pipelines and cloud infrastructure for client projects and internal AI solutions with an accent on MLOps and server-side tool development. Focus on orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes and automating CI/CD pipelines to support scalable Machine Learning models.

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted. Work permit not provided.

What you will do

• Architect and manage cloud services across GCP, AWS, and Azure, focusing on cost optimization and Infrastructure as Code.
• Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes for Data Science workloads.
• Develop server-side Python tools for bulk data processing, REST APIs, and authentication.
• Build and maintain ETL data pipelines in Big Data environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment for internal platforms and client sites.
• Design and implement security solutions including OAuth2, HTTPS, and credential management.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Statistics).
• 1-3 years of experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL (PostgreSQL), with knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD automation (Gitlab-CE ecosystem).
• Excellent English and Dutch verbal and written skills are required.
• Must already have a valid work permit for the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
