Python Software Engineer (Ecommerce)

TL;DR

Python Software Engineer (Ecommerce): Building and optimizing Python integrations with external eCommerce APIs for a B2B SaaS platform with an accent on scalability, reliability, and API design. Location: Hybrid (Utrecht, Netherlands). Must have EU citizenship or a valid work permit for the Netherlands; preferably already living in the Netherlands.

Salary: €3,900 – €5,400 per month

What you will do

• Research external eCommerce APIs and build robust Python integrations.
• Own feature and project implementation from initial design to production delivery.
• Collaborate in agile development via code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Improve the reliability and robustness of the main application.
• Work with a technical stack including Python 3.14, SQL, Postgres, asyncio, and GCS.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience developing applications in Python.
• Good understanding of HTTP, REST, and GraphQL frameworks.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, specifically Postgres.
• Good working knowledge of Linux, Git, and the command-line.
• EU citizenship or a valid work permit for the Netherlands.
• Ability to work from the Utrecht office at least 2 days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience with concurrent applications and asyncio.
• Experience working with distributed systems.
• DevOps mentality with experience bringing code to production independently.
• Experience with the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir).
