What you will do

• Architect and evolve distributed payment infrastructure spanning real-time clearing, SWIFT, and proprietary routing.
• Build idempotent, fault-tolerant systems to handle complex multi-currency reconciliation and async settlement.
• Define SLAs and design observability layers to ensure real-time payment health and graceful degradation.
• Leverage payment telemetry to optimize routing logic and improve settlement speed and conversion rates.
• Drive technical direction through design reviews and RFC processes across global engineering hubs.
• Mentor peers and promote a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in system architecture and software development within modern engineering environments.
• Proven track record as a technical lead with deep expertise in building scalable, high-quality systems.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and product performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead effective teams and foster a collaborative, learning-oriented culture.
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and ability to prioritize complex workloads.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse, cross-site engineering teams.
