Salary: $140,000–$250,000 per year, plus $50,000–$80,000 in equity.

What you will do

• Design backend systems and APIs that execute real-time, business-critical accounting logic.
• Build and ship features end to end, including architecture, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production operations.
• Integrate third-party tools and external systems while managing edge cases and operational risk.
• Develop reliable financial infrastructure using pragmatic, scalable engineering practices.
• Collaborate in a high-speed, high-trust environment where engineers take significant ownership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Deep experience building products with complex business logic.
• Strong database expertise, including PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, migrations, and schema design.
• Experience deploying on AWS or a similar cloud platform.
• Strong CI/CD and production-readiness fundamentals.
• High agency, strong work ethic, and pragmatic decision-making.

Nice to have

• Python experience.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
