What you will do

• Process semi-monthly payroll for employees and contractors using Paychex.
• Maintain state tax registrations and ensure accurate withholding across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage system integrations between Paychex, QuickBooks, QB Time, and Unanet.
• Administer wage garnishments and coordinate leave-related pay with third-party administrators.
• Audit timesheets and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate labor cost allocation.
• Support automation projects to reduce manual data entry and improve payroll workflows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll.
• Working knowledge of California wage and hour laws and multi-state tax compliance.
• Proficiency with Paychex and QB Time software.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify participant).
• Strong technical aptitude for systems integration and process automation.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sparrow leave management software.
• Familiarity with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms.
