What you will do

• Execute quarterly and annual payroll tax filings across local, state, and federal jurisdictions.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and remittance during quarter-end cycles.
• Resolve internal payroll tax inquiries and issues within established SLAs.
• Manage tax ID updates, rate changes, and process reversals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Engineering and Product to improve tax workflows.
• Maintain documentation and support onboarding for new team members.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in payroll tax, accounting, or finance.
• In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal payroll tax compliance.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ability to learn new software tools.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented, process-driven mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• APA Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
• Prior experience working with PEOs.
