What you will do

• Book and coordinate satellite, fiber, and IP feeds for NBC Network News, Sports, and streaming services like Peacock.
• Provide live control room support, including remote troubleshooting and signal re-routing during on-air shows.
• Verify signal quality and set audio/video levels for remote originations prior to air.
• Collaborate with producers, technical managers, and assignment desks to organize domestic and international facilities.
• Procure and assign vendor and in-house satellite trucks for remote origination.
• Manage technical infrastructure via remote interface, including decoders, routers, and spectrum analyzers.

Requirements

• BA in Broadcasting or Communications required.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience in live television production.
• Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.
• Strong understanding of A/V levels, transmission gear, and signal flow.
• Familiarity with scheduling and control systems such as ScheduAll and Dataminer.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity with 4 days per week in the New York office.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IP streaming applications like LiveU, Makito, or VideoShip.
• Experience with compression schemes and transport stream delivery.
• Understanding of editorial processes and newsgathering workflows.
