TL;DR
Senior International Tax Manager (International Tax): Developing and driving the Nordex Group’s international tax strategy while advising business functions, assessing cross-border structures, and supporting market entries with an accent on direct and indirect tax, customs, compliance, and governance. Focus on leading tax analyses for major projects, supporting worldwide local tax functions, and driving tax digitalisation and automation initiatives.
Location: Hamburg, Germany; hybrid arrangement with up to 8 days of mobile work per month

What you will do
- Develop and drive the Group’s international tax strategy in line with business objectives and commercial decisions.
- Advise internal stakeholders on direct tax, indirect tax, and customs matters.
- Lead tax analyses for new market entries and major projects with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Assess cross-border structures and transactions under German and international tax regulations.
- Support local tax functions worldwide with complex tax matters, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Drive tax digitalisation, automation, and development of the international tax compliance framework.
Requirements
- Degree in Tax Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in international taxation, ideally in a multinational industrial company or leading tax advisory firm.
- Strong expertise in international taxation and the ability to assess tax risks from a Group headquarters perspective.
- Ability to translate complex tax matters into clear, pragmatic, business-oriented recommendations.
- Strategic, structured, solution-oriented, and hands-on working style with effective cross-functional communication.
- Fluent English, written and spoken; confident use of MS Office is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
- Additional language skills.
