Associate Solution Architect (SaaS)

Location: Must be based in Canada (Remote, Hybrid, or Onsite in Toronto)

Salary: 127,500 - 172,500 CAD

What you will do

• Partner with Product Management and senior architects to deliver cloud-based SaaS features and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Design pragmatic solutions that balance functional requirements with performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Review engineering designs and implementations to validate alignment with approved architecture and standards.
• Create and maintain clear architecture artifacts and decision records to ensure traceability across stakeholders.
• Participate in architecture governance, contributing to the adoption of platform principles and best practices.
• Research industry trends and leverage AI-assisted tools for architectural analysis and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 1–3 years of experience in solution architecture or complex system design within a software or SaaS environment.
• 4+ years in software development with hands-on experience in Java, C#, or JavaScript.
• Practical experience with React, Node.js, Spring, and distributed systems concepts (Microservices, REST, GraphQL).
• Hands-on experience implementing within Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms using cloud-native patterns.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, OLTP, and multi-tenancy in cloud-based SaaS applications.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or SpecKit.
• Strong interest in exploring AI-driven solutions for performance enhancement and efficiency.
