What you will do

• Assess and resolve network-related incidents and conduct root cause analysis (RCA).
• Perform firmware updates, patches, and upgrades across all network devices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and technical diagrams.
• Monitor network health and performance to proactively address potential issues.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide essential network support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network services.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering for enterprise-scale environments.
• Expertise in Cisco and Nexus switches, including VLANs, trunking, and Layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls (policy configuration, HA, optimization).
• Proficiency with physical and virtual F5 load balancers.
• Experience with Meraki networks and cloud-based management.

Nice to have

• CCNA certification or higher.
• PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer).
• F5 Certified Administrator.
• Familiarity with network automation using Python or Ansible.
