Resident Engineer (Juniper)

Location: Remote/Teleworker in the United States; salary range specified for Virginia

Salary: USD 92,600–213,500 annual base salary in the United States of America

What you will do

• Support Juniper products in customer production and pre-production environments.
• Lead network information-gathering and technology workshops with customers.
• Design, test, validate, and implement network upgrades, patches, fixes, and new functionality.
• Troubleshoot network and equipment issues, track JTAC cases and RMAs, and coordinate problem resolution.
• Prepare network status reports, operating procedures, and fault-diagnosis documentation.
• Train customer design, implementation, and support personnel on Juniper products and best practices.

Requirements

• At least five years of design, implementation, and operational experience with large-scale IP networks.
• Experience with Mist design and deployment, Mist Wireless Assurance, Mist API/Web UI, Marvis AI, Apstra, and Juniper Campus Fabric.
• Strong Junos CLI experience and hands-on experience with QFX, EX, and PTX switching and routing platforms.
• Experience with EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, network upgrades, maintenance windows, and data center or large-enterprise environments.
• Automation experience with Python, Ansible, YAML, JSON templates, and Juniper PyEZ.
• Strong customer communication, presentation, crisis-management, and technical liaison skills; JNCIS-MistAI Wireless or JNCIP-MistAI certification is expected to be supported by practical Mist experience.
