What you will do

• Develop strategy and planning for third-party Value Added Assembler (VAA) suppliers for new program launches.
• Author eSORs and provide subject matter expertise during technical reviews.
• Create cost target estimates for VAA modules and support business case development.
• Develop and improve VAA standardized work, including TISs, RASICs, and timelines.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Integration Managers (MIMs) and CMEs to ensure assembly requirements are integrated into design.
• Manage the onboarding of VAA personnel into GM systems and oversee control drawing deliveries.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in assembly plant, product environment, program management, or launch-related work.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in process and tooling.
• Must be based in the US; no immigration sponsorship is provided.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 5% to GM plants and supplier locations.

Nice to have

• Engineering degree.
• In-depth knowledge of VAA commodities and industrial engineering.
• Experience with GVDP (Global Vehicle Development Process).
