What you will do

• Lead and improve educator leadership programming, including the Policy Fellowship and other engagement initiatives.
• Coach and develop teacher leaders through individualized support, training, and feedback.
• Design and facilitate learning experiences focused on policy, advocacy, leadership, and systems change.
• Conduct and synthesize policy research to develop evidence-based recommendations and advocacy strategies.
• Build strategic relationships with decision-makers and represent the organization in coalitions and legislative meetings.
• Collaborate with internal communications staff to elevate educator voices through briefs, newsletters, and media.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in education policy, advocacy, coalition building, educator leadership, or community organizing.
• Experience conducting research and translating data into actionable recommendations.
• Strong project management, written, verbal, and facilitation skills.
• Experience coaching or facilitating adult learners.
• Demonstrated success in building relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Must be based in New Mexico.

• Knowledge of New Mexico's education landscape and policy environment.
• Classroom teaching experience.
