What you will do
- Lead and improve educator leadership programming, including the Policy Fellowship and other engagement initiatives.
- Coach and develop teacher leaders through individualized support, training, and feedback.
- Design and facilitate learning experiences focused on policy, advocacy, leadership, and systems change.
- Conduct and synthesize policy research to develop evidence-based recommendations and advocacy strategies.
- Build strategic relationships with decision-makers and represent the organization in coalitions and legislative meetings.
- Collaborate with internal communications staff to elevate educator voices through briefs, newsletters, and media.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in education policy, advocacy, coalition building, educator leadership, or community organizing.
- Experience conducting research and translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong project management, written, verbal, and facilitation skills.
- Experience coaching or facilitating adult learners.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Must be based in New Mexico.

- Knowledge of New Mexico's education landscape and policy environment.
- Classroom teaching experience.
- Experience working directly with policymakers or advocacy coalitions.
