Head Start Early Childhood Specialist (Education): Providing training and technical assistance to Head Start programs to improve school readiness goals with an accent on data-driven decision making and quality early childhood practices. Focus on enhancing teacher-child interactions, implementing research-based coaching models, and strengthening family engagement practices.
Location: Remote (Must be home-based in Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia); extensive travel required.
Salary: $67,355 - $114,503

What you will do
- Provide training and technical assistance (TTA) related to school readiness, family engagement, and professional development.
- Support the selection and implementation of developmentally and culturally appropriate curricula for children birth to five.
- Improve teacher-child interactions using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and other suitable measures.
- Assist programs in aggregating and analyzing data from multiple sources to make informed decisions.
- Develop family engagement practices based on the PFCE Framework and coach engagement staff.
- Strengthen transition practices and collaboration with Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and state agencies.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree in Early Childhood Education/Development or a related field.
- Fluently bilingual in Spanish and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- 5+ years of experience in programs for young children (birth to five), including providing technical assistance.
- Must be based in Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia.
- 1+ year of experience working with infants and toddlers and in family engagement.
- Experience facilitating group discussions, presenting to audiences, and analyzing data.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Head Start regulations and standards.
- Prior experience working within a Head Start Program.
