Embedded Software Test Engineer (Embedded IoT)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

What you will do

• Design and develop black box and white box test plans based on requirements and customer feedback.
• Implement tests during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases of the product.
• Drive the automation of all tests within a Continuous Integration (CI) environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage and debug software issues.
• Present results to product owners and developers to resolve defects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in EE, CS, or CE with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in the same fields.
• Experience with embedded systems and Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Proficiency with MCU and DSP cores/processors.
• Scripting or programming skills in Python, Shell, C, or C++.
• Knowledge of software testing and test automation principles.
• Experience using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira, SVN/Git, and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile Scrum.
• Experience developing embedded software tests on development boards.
