STS Aerospace (hirify.global) manufactures aerospace components and is hiring a Convolutor Operator Trainee in Laconia, NH.

What you will do

• Select and install brass seals, nylon dies, forming/compression dies and mandrels.
• Load tubing onto mandrels and run computer-controlled programs via a touch screen to remove die and crimp marks.
• Trim and prepare hose/tube ends, compress formed hose to PS 499 templates, and perform pressure testing in tanks.
• Measure and verify dimensions using micrometers and calipers; adjust for dimensional compliance.
• Inspect and sample tooling/workpieces using a shadowgraph and wall thickness gauge; track tubing usage and completed hose.
• Maintain documentation, store incoming tube, monitor hydraulic components for leaks, and keep the area safe and orderly.

Requirements

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or 3–6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly; use hands for handling/feeling; reach with hands and arms; and hear/talk as required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
