TL;DR
Convolutor Operator Trainee (Aerospace Manufacturing): Setting up and operating tube convolution, compression, forming, and pressure-testing equipment for aerospace hose components with an accent on tooling selection, dimensional inspection, and hydraulic machine operation. Focus on measuring and adjusting hose dimensions, inspecting samples to PS 499, testing finished sections, and maintaining safe, orderly production equipment.
Location: Laconia, New Hampshire, United States; onsite production role

What you will do
- Set up and operate tube convolution, forming, compression, trimming, swaging, and flattening equipment.
- Select and install seals, dies, mandrels, chucks, collars, and pressure-test tooling.
- Measure hose dimensions with micrometers and calipers and adjust processes for compliance.
- Inspect hose samples using a shadowgraph and wall-thickness gauge according to PS 499.
- Monitor hydraulic pressure, check components for leaks, track material usage, and complete production documentation.
- Maintain tooling, store incoming tube, and keep the work area safe and orderly.
Requirements
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, reach, handle materials, and use hands for detailed work.
- Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required.
- Consistent, regular, and punctual attendance is required.
