- Supervise daily shop operations, assigning work, setting priorities, and balancing workloads.
- Perform and oversee in-process and final inspections using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Create, maintain, and review detailed inspection reports and quality documentation for customers.
- Enforce safety rules and PPE usage while promoting a clean and organized work environment.
- Train and coach operators on quality standards and inspection methods.
- Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and rework using Lean and 5S initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production shop floor environment.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Torrington, CT, US.
